EXCERPT

I opened the door to the small bathroom that adjoined Dean’s bedroom and was also shared by hallway access. Steam billowed out, and it took a few seconds before I could see clearly.

Fucking hell.

Staring at me with wide blue eyes, water dripping down her shoulders from her wet hair, and nothing but a tiny, goddamned towel on, was Daisy.

“Jesus. I’m sorry. The door wasn’t locked.” I fumbled out an apology while attempting to pry my greedy eyes off her curvaceous, damp body.

Daisy swallowed, and her eyes fixed on me. Or more accurately, my lower half.

Motherfucking hell.

I was ready to get in the shower. Dean and Grace would be here soon, and the rest of the family would be gathering in the kitchen for breakfast. I walked into the bathroom in only my boxer briefs. Briefs that were now beginning to tent as I focused on the unbelievable sight in front of me.

“I locked the door that leads to the hallway. I thought I locked this one, but I guess I didn’t. I’m the one who’s sorry.” Daisy spoke to my cock, unable or unwilling to look away and not sounding the least bit sorry.

I cleared my throat, and she jumped, looking into my eyes, her face flushed and her breathing rapid.

“Well, I’ll give you your privacy.” I took a step back into my room.

“Wait,” Daisy placed her hand on my forearm, her other hand clutching the towel to her.

I stopped, and she moved closer to me until our chests were almost touching. Her smell, even freshly showered, of sugar and honey, was heady.

“I wanted to be the first to say Happy Thanksgiving. I’m so glad you’ll be here today.” Daisy’s voice was whisper soft. “And I just have to say that your body is so gorgeous, Jon. I thought you should know–”

I stopped her words with my mouth, kissing her hard, my hands cupping her face, my tongue meeting hers in strong, desperate thrusts. A grunt escaped, one that sounded needy and frustrated and full of want. As she registered the sound, she pressed her body against mine, her hands on my chest, tracing the edges of muscle, and then on my back and finally my ass.

As I reveled in her touch, something hit my feet, and I froze. As I stilled, so did Daisy. Her body was plastered to mine, but her towel was on the floor.

Jesus Christ, motherfucking hell, goddammit.

She was naked. My Daisy. My Sunshine.

Her eyes were hooded, and she licked her lips, not even attempting to pull away. My dick grew so hard it hurt, and she adjusted her hips, moving it in between her legs with a soft whimper at the sensation.

“Daisy,” I rested my forehead on hers. “We can’t do this. Your whole family is here. At home. Your parents, your brother is on his way, due here any minute.” She closed her eyes and nodded, but as she did, she rotated her hips, ever so slightly.

“But you need to know, I want you so fucking bad, I feel like tearing the bathroom apart.” My voice was rough, and she nodded, eyes still closed as she moved against me.

“Daisy,” I croaked out. “You have to go to your room. Please.” My spine tingled, and my heart raced, my entire body on fire.

She stopped, her eyes open, heavy with desire, and she took two steps back.

She took two steps back.

There weren’t any more cuss words left to say. I was speechless. She believed me. Daisy, my girl who had been picked on and ridiculed over her body, believed that I found her sexy. That I wanted her. And so she showed all of herself to me, unabashedly.

Jen's Review - 5 Stars!!!

I had to read this series pretty fast - I got wigged out (yes I'm that old) when I found out about the Occult and I had to finish reading it before my kids left for the weekend - Didn't want to spook myself while home alone - luckily the book isn't a horror/paranormal book so that's the only spoiler you'll get from me :) 

If you've read Micha and Ella's story - you'll LOVE this series!!!  This is Lyric - Micah's and Ella's Daughter - Lyric is a fun, happy and upbeat sweet young lady who loves life and lives it to the fullest - with a retired Rock Star like Micha and a now more stable and laid back Ella for parents - Lyric has the life that everyone wants :) 

Remember Lila and Ethan's story??? Well - for some reason we didn't learn about - they didn't get to have kids of their own - but remember how much Lila wanted to be a mom?? Well she got her wish - she's adopted out the sweetest kids in history - and this story takes place just as they're bringing home their newest son - 16 year old Ayden....

Adyan hasn't had it easy in life - from the day he was born up until he was adopted - Something happened to him, his brother and sister when they he was 14 years old - something horrible - in fact it was so horrible, his mind didn't even want to remember it. 

Ayden can't remember what happened in that house, but he knows it wasn't good - the scars on his body and the feelings deep down that have him terrified of everything. 

But meeting Lyric - now that was an emotion he wasn't prepared for :) 

Ok I can't review all 4 books without giving things away - in the first book, mostly we're just getting to know Ayden and Lyric and watching them become friends. 

In book 2 we see their relationship grow stronger - they join a band and Ayden learns to trust. 

His memories start to come back little by little. 

When he learns about his brother - he gets more stressed about his memories....

In book 3 - they're now 18 and finally together for real - Ayden still has issues with being touched, he's still struggline to remember - and life gets a little freaky (at least in my head when I was home alone :) ) 

Book 4 -I was iffy on if it was going to have a HEA or not - seems like it was taking a really long time for poor Ayden to remember anything - the clock was ticking and everyone was afraid - 

But don't worry - this is the last book of this series - I'm going to go look through Jessica Sorensen's book sto see if I can find any more to this group of people - would be fun to read Sadie's story - well maybe :)

If you've read the first 2 books - you'll know all about Ethan and Lila - if you haven't read the two before- you may get a little confused - 

Lila comes across as a rich spoiled brat, but she's far from it - she's just trying to find the one thing she never got from the 2 people who should have given it to her unconditionally. Instead she seeked out love and craved attention - but always finding it in the wrong places. When she was 14, she grew up in a way that no 14 year old should have, and her mother did what she does best - pins the negitive on Lila and gives her some pills to get over it. 

In the first two books with Ella and Micha, you see that Lila is struggling with finding out who she is - wanting to be more like Ella and less like her mother - and Ethan seems to be helping her with that. 

Ethan is a sweet guy, but he refuses to get tied down like his parents - what is Love? it doesn't look like a very good thing from his position. 

A few years back, Ethan meets a girl, and they fall into an easy relationship - his first relationship. But things don't end well and Ethan struggles to let go of his first love. 

When Lila hits rock bottom, Ethan helps her pick up the pieces - being her friend is easy, and even with her spoiled rich bitch attitude, he still wants to help her. but he feels that it could easily become more with Lila - and he's not ready to give up his feelings for his old girlfriend just yet...... 

Really a cute story with these two - it has their HEA - but leaves us screaming at the end with Ella and Micha - now I"m off to hurry and start book 4 - The Forever of Ella and Micha - because that ending was not cool!!!! lol

I'm throwing in 2 reviews in this post because I was already almost half way through the 2nd book before I realized I forgot to blog it :) Sorry :) I wont give spoilers I promise :) 

Well without spoilers - I guess all I can say is READ THIS SERIES!!!! lol 

Ella and Micha have lived next door to each other since forever - and they have always had a strong bond - but both of them shied away from anything more than friends as they got older in fear of losing that friendship 

Ella's home life is a little crazy - just as crazy as her mom was before she took her own life. Ella's biggest fear is having some of the "crazy" inside her - she feels it crawling up to the top all the time and it gets harder and harder for her to push it down. Her own fears are driving her more crazy. 

That one night was all it took - and she took off - 

8 months later - Ella returns home with her new BFF and college roommate Lila. 

Lila is a spoiled rich girl who is completely the opposite of Ella - but everything Ella wants to be in order to keep the "Crazy" out - 

When she sees Micha again - she feels her old self trying to climb back up again. 

Micha can't stand not knowing where Ella went - doesn't know if she's ok or even alive and it's driving him "crazy" When he finally does find her, he starts to relax again, that is until he sees her. 

The push and pull between Micha and Ella is strong - they really care for each other, but are always tip toeing around their feelings in order to "spare the other's feelings" it's hard to trust someone who doesn't open up to you. 

I think that's about all I can say about the first book - I'm afraid to go into a review about the second book without giving away anything...

We stood in his office. I could tell by the picture of his mom and sister on the desk, by the scent of his cologne in the air, by the plaques on the wall bearing his name. I was confused as to why he would bring me in here.

He finally let go of my hand, and I felt a little lost as I stood near the door. He ran a hand through his hair, mussing up his slick look. "Are you and Adam dating?"

I blinked, surprise rippling through me. "No, and even if we were, what would it matter? You and I are just friends."

Decker's lips twisted and his hands fell to his sides. "Are we? You've been stiff around me this evening."

"I haven't. There's just been a lot going on."

He stepped closer. My pulse picked up. "The entire time I greeted people, all I could think about was you. That you were up on the balcony, next to some guy, and he was getting to talk to you. I wanted to be up there."

My mouth opened to say something, but nothing came out.

When he stepped closer again, I moved toward the door. My back hit it, the cold seeping through my dress.

"I'm not normally a jealous person. I don't usually care if a girl is talking to some guy. But I care when you do and I don't understand it." His tortured gaze held mine.

"I don't know what to tell you."

"Are you planning on dating him?"

"Maybe." I placed my palms against the door, bracing for something but I wasn't sure what.

"No."

"No?" My brows rose. "I can date anyone I want to—"

His lips claimed mine, effectively silencing me.

This is the 3rd time I've read this book - 

The first time was when it first came out - the second time last year, and then today - 

I read so many books - I remember feelings I have when I read them, but most of the time the story gets lost or mixed up with another story - So when I re-read a book I have in my "read again" list after a year or so, it's like reading it for the first time all over again. I remember what's happening as I re-read it, but I can't remember how it plays out...

I re-read this one again because of the new Series coming out on GO90 on Tuesday - the first 2 episodes have already popped up on the app, but they're not close captioned - I'm deaf so not knowing what they're saying really sucks - so I re-read the book in hopes to be able to follow along with the show on Tuesday when I watch all 7 episodes. 

This story is really sweet - after watching the show I can totally picture both  Katie Leclerc and Ryan Cooper (picture above)  as I read the story - they are perfect for the characters in the book - 

The actual review :) 

Auburn has loved and lost at such an young age, but she's the type of person who loves hard - and at the age of 15 when she loses her first love, it's heartbreaking - and because of that, she's unable to let him go completely - 

Fast forward a few years and we see Auburn struggling to meet ends - she's scared and alone in this new City, but unable to leave - The very thing keeping her there, is the very thing she's struggling to hold on to. 

Owen *sigh* lol  An artist - owner of his own gallery, and he needs help DESPERATELY!  being in the right place at the right time, Auburn see's his "help needed " poster in front of his gallery. 

$200 for 2 hours to play cashier seems like easy enough work - she's not sure why she feels the strong pull towards this stranger, but she doesn't seem to want to ignore it. 

Owen is full of secrets - considering he's the owner of the Gallery where he paints Confessions. He gets his inspiration from secrets that strangers leave at his door - which in itself is pretty awesome! 

There is too much detail in this story, it's hard to talk about without giving away too much of the reason why this book is so awesome :)  Just trust me - if you haven't read it, read it now! Some people are watching the Go90 Show before reading the book - The show is based on the book, but it's not OF the book - the show will follow the guidelines of the story - but it's not meant to be exactly as the story is - if that makes sense :) I'm trying to remember what I read from Colleen Hoover's FB post about it.... 

Anyways - I'll just stop because I could probably babble on and on about how excited I am about this show - sure I wont be able to understand it , but there is talk about expanding it out of Go90 and I'm crossing fingers it will be online or something WITH CC on it - if not, I may have to drag a friend over to interpret it for me :)
