Set in Stone books #1 and #2 by Jess Macallan

Stone Cold Seduction (Set in Stone, #1)
Stone Cold Seduction

4 stars

Elle is a shop owner by day and a burglar by night. But she’s no ordinary burglar because she only steals from her father. Her father Jedren is very powerful and no one crosses him. Doesn’t matter if you are his child or employee. Your treatment is based on what he can get out of you.
Some employees have wanted out and Jedren’s has made their lives miserable both physically and financially so Elle decides to be a modern day Robin hood and now she steals from her father to make this happen.

What she doesn’t know is that there’s something bigger going on behind the scenes. So much so that Elle cant seem to grasp this whole thing around her mind. Nothing is what she ever thought or even imagined. People aren’t who they really are and she has a huge role in all of this.

Elle’s father is a Shadow Elf King and has taken most of her memories away. In walks Maclean and memories start flooding back but this man she once loved and adored may only stay as a memory because Jax has what was once Maclean’s.

In order to find answers Elle must travel to Scotland to retrieve her fate. Something only her father and the oracle who wrote it knows. But what she discovers are more secrets and heartache.

Will Elle be able to understand who and what she is before its too late? And how is a girl to chose between Maclean a Phoenix or Jax a Gargoyle? Both beings very fierce in their loyalty to her but in the end only one may prevail.

There is so much more to be revealed and I cant wait to find out.
A very fast pace book and def keeps you on your toes.

Juls Review
This story picks up right where it left off in book one. In Stone Cold Seduction we are introduced to Elle and she is more than meets the eye. Her father is the Shadow Elf King and her mother a Demigod. What does that make her? Someone not to be messed with!

Elle is back in her childhood home and now as an adult she needs to refocus her energy on not her horrible past but on how to destroy her father. Its not as easy as she thought though. He is always one step ahead of her.

Jedren is playing to win. His main piece on the board is his daughter Elle. He's got something up his sleeve and regardless of what Elle and her crew do they cant seem to get ahead.

Elle has a great group of support around her but they may not be enough. She needs to find her inner strength and channel that into the battles to come.

I know I said this in my first review but holy cow, I really do love me a gargoyle! Jax can stone up on me any day! ;)

Love this series and cant wait until the next installment.
