Billionaire's Ultimatum
by Cerys du Lys
Falling in love wasn't part of Jessika's temporary job description. Nor, initially, was being asked by billionaire CEO Asher Landseer to become an egg donor and surrogate for his infertile wife. All Jessika wants to do is help, but is she setting herself up for heartbreak in the process?
(A Cerys du Lys contemporary BDSM erotic romance novel)
Screwing up on her first day of a one-day job is the last thing Jessika Fevrier wanted to do. Worse yet, she's managed to infuriate Asher Landseer, the young, handsome, reclusive and eccentric billionaire CEO of Landseer Enterprises. His idea of work performance punishment is unorthodox to say the least, but Jessika finds herself intrigued by this singularly unaffected man nonetheless.
She was only supposed to clean Asher's office, but before she leaves for the day he has another job he'd like to offer her. Revealing that his wife is infertile, Asher asks her to consider becoming an egg donor for his family. He's always wanted children of his own, but the fates have plotted against him, it seems.
Asher's marriage is of necessity, rough and possibly loveless, but his desire for children is genuine and real. His absoluteness and certainty in himself and his surroundings, despite everything, captivates her. Jessika finds herself charmed by this dominant, enigmatic man who seems to know everything about business and nothing about love.
Behind the scenes, there's more than the fates plotting against him. Someone has it out for Landseer Enterprises, and they're going to do everything within their power to cause Asher's downfall. Between dealing with Asher's conditions and requirements, the cruel gaze of his spiteful wife, and corporate sabotage, Jessika finds herself lost in a world completely different from the one she's used to.
Can she rediscover herself and come to terms with her impossible feelings for a man she can't have? Or in her attempts to satisfy His Absolute Need will she inadvertently become the catalyst that leads to his (and her) ruin?
Dominant, sexy, and powerful. This tantalizing story of love, lust, intrigue and suspense will bind you, entwine you, and thrill you until the very end.
This book is intended for mature audiences.
Excerpt:
And then he asked me, "I know this is sudden, but would you consider becoming an egg donor for me and my wife? I'll need to discuss it with her first, but I believe she'll accept the idea. You'll need to carry the child, too, but I'll make certain you're comfortable. I can arrange for you to have suitable living quarters in my home for the duration of your pregnancy."
"There's no need to donate," I blurted out. "We can just have sex..." I realized what I'd said before I finished, and the words hung there, awkward.
He stared at me for a brief moment, stared into me, and then he laughed again. Moving his hands away from my hips, he stepped away and walked to his office door.
"I..." I said, trying to think of something to say. Something witty, or sexy, or funny, or intelligent, but I couldn't manage any of those.
"Are you busy tomorrow?" he asked. "Let's arrange a lunch date. I'll let you know what Beatrice thinks, and you can let me know if you'll agree, too. Consider your answer ample repayment for the book, whether you agree or not. Those are my conditions. I won't accept anything else."
And, he left.

I love books. I love books so much that sometimes I can't stop talking about books. Unfortunately I also need to write books, though. So sometimes I write books about books (and this isn't weird at all, I swear!).
In my most recent full-length novel, Jessika Fevrier, the main character, is essentially a book review blogger. This doesn't really pay the bills though, now does it? She ends up taking a bunch of temp jobs in order to make ends meet and finds herself on a one day assignment to clean Asher Landseer's office. Asher is the young, billionaire CEO of Landseer Enterprises, so of course he doesn't like books, right? Someone like him doesn't have the time to...
Oh, wait, what's this? He has a small reading nook built into his office, with a few bookshelves? They must be stuffy, boring business books that he keeps there for appearances. Nothing interesting, most likely. Jessika learns that this isn't the truth, not in the least.
I'm sure Asher does have some stuffy business books. You probably need to read some business stuff in order to keep up on trends and all of that, right? He's also got plenty more where that came from, though. Classics like Dante's Inferno, or more modern writing like Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Legacy series.
Asher also likes books. He might not be a book review blogger, but the man enjoys his fiction. He has libraries, too. Plural. More than one. I'm jealous.
I don't know why, but when I write books, I also can't stop thinking about books. What books would my characters like? Sometimes they like the same books as me, but other times they probably like things I wasn't too interested in.
I mention at one point in The Billionaire's Ultimatum that Asher has a copy of Pride and Prejudice with Zombies. I've never read this book, and I don't think I ever will. It might be a great book, but it seems a little too out there for me. Asher, though? Well, he's got a copy. I assume he's read it and he enjoyed it.
What do you think your favorite book characters read? Some might be strictly into how-to manuals, while others might read things completely different than what you'd expect. I'm always curious. I think the types of books someone reads can tell a little bit about them.
What if the characters don't read any books?! (I think that'd be really sad)
Author Bio:
Cerys has charted on numerous best sellers and hot new release lists internationally with multiple books.
She lives in the Greater Boston area in a small town in New Hampshire. She spends her days writing, reading, learning, and working. And maybe sometimes she flirts with the mailman. Some of her most favorite activities involve understanding and learning about emotions and relationships.
She adores pondering sexuality and sensualness. Most of her writing delves into this in some way, exploring reactions and relationships between different people. While she enjoys writing erotica and erotic romance, her goal is to also keep a certain literary appeal to the writing instead of something purely pornographic. Every story she writes has a delightful plot along with the more devious and delicious scenes we all want to read.
She prefers romance settings, with the occasional monster or fairytale. Her secret kinks include reluctance, interesting paranormal creatures, romance(even with monsters), and fun. She loves writing about all of these things, though very strongly acknowledges that fantasies are fiction and nothing more.
