Book Blitz Don't Look Back by Vicki Tharp

Don’t Look Back
Vicki Tharp
Publication date: November 19th 2011
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
Ridley Meyer’s latest murder left him unsatisfied, but the spitfire with the U-haul may provide just the challenge he craves.
Veterinarian Audrey West is running out of time, yet she is determined to keep her inherited home out of foreclosure. With no more than a dream, a prayer, and a packed U-Haul, West moves back home to complete the expensive repairs. Just when Audrey thinks she might pull off the impossible, she finds her dream is not the only thing being followed.
Scott Romero has it all—money, ambition and a growing reputation as the city’s top veterinary surgeon. However, when his best friend Audrey is abducted by a killer, Scott realizes what he doesn’t have and he must risk losing his job, and his life, to save her.
Don’t Look Back was a 2007 Romantic Suspense finalist in the Romance Writer’s of America Golden Heart writing contest.
He leaned in to scrutinize his work. “Let me see.”
She turned toward him.
He pushed her hand out of the way. He poked. He prodded. He pressed. “I did Doctor Frankenstein proud. Maybe my stepmother was right. I should’ve been a real doctor. At least I wouldn’t have risked my veterinary license stitching you up.”
“I don’t—”
“I know. I know. You don’t like hospitals.”
“It’ll take more than a little thump to get me in one again.”
“Little thumps don’t require stitches. Little thumps don’t give you a concussion. And little thumps don’t get you almost killed.”
“Not this again.”
“Yes. This again.”
He raised his hands and took a step back. “Do me a favor.”
“What’s that?”
“The next time one of your clients waves a gun around, stay out of the way.”
“What in the purple hell did you expect me to do? Let her kill herself?”
“You should’ve gone for help.”
“Ms. Sims wasn’t trying to hurt me. Her dog, her baby, dropped dead. She was distraught, disturbed. If I hadn’t nosedived into the bench grabbing for the gun, I doubt
I’d’ve had a scratch on me.” Audrey squeezed her head to keep it from exploding.
“You’re not Superwoman. Bullets won’t bounce off you.”
She didn’t have the energy for this. “Finished?”
“Not hardly.” Scott tilted his head and gave her that sexy half-smile. That devilish smile. That maddening smile the lucky few had followed to his bed.
It was too painful to think about, and not just because of her headache, so she pushed it from her mind. “Thanks for letting me crash at your place last night. And for stitching me up.”
She’d stuffed everything she owned into her truck and U-Haul trailer. That wasn’t saying much since the truck and trailer were small.
“Staying at a hotel by yourself with a concussion wasn’t and option. As for the other, I don’t know how you talked me into it. You’ll probably have a scar.”
“Not a problem as long as your malpractice is paid.”
A laugh rumbled his chest, but the smile quickly slid from his lips. “You should stay a day or two. Make sure you’re really okay.”
Audrey scooched back and propped herself up against the leather headboard. Her brain protested behind the fireworks and the nine-piece drumline. “I’ve only got thirty days to finish the repairs on my uncle’s house. I have to leave today. I’ll call you from the road, let you know I haven’t bled out into my head.”
“Not funny.” Scott frowned but kept her gaze. “I’m due at the animal hospital at seven. I’m going to miss having you around. Guess I can’t talk you into staying for good, huh?”
“What?” Her voice jumped two octaves. “Who’s the one who stood in my kitchen two weeks ago and told me I should go? ‘This is your last chance to make good on your promise to your uncle,’ you said. ‘Take a chance on your dream,’ you said. Don’t even—”
“Down, girl.” Scott eased her back into the pillows with a hand on her shoulder.
Thank God. Hells-bells clanged in her head.
“Forget I said anything. At least sleep for a few more hours and then head out. You don’t look so hot.”
No kidding.
He patted her leg and by the way he didn’t get up to leave, she knew he wanted to say more, but he wasn’t any better at goodbyes than she was. Then Scott braced his hands on either side of her head, and planted a quick kiss on her nose. Like an adult to a child.
It might have hurt less if he’d eviscerated her with a spork.
She was leaving Texas. This morning. For good.
She snagged his tie. “If that’s the best you can do, Romero, it’s no wonder your girlfriends leave you.”
Why had she baited him? He couldn’t refuse a challenge, any more than a dachshund could refuse table scraps.
Was her mind muddled from the concussion? Or was she finally thinking clearly? One kiss. That’s all she wanted.
Like a lover, not a friend. Stupid. He’d locked her in the friend-zone years ago.
Except for the night of her high school graduation.
And two weeks ago when he’d convinced her she should leave.
The look in his eyes was the same now as then. Want, need, hunger.
Hand over hand she pulled him down. His lips brushed hers. Her breath caught. She blamed the
concussion. Her hands trembled. She blamed the pain. Her heart hurt. She blamed herself.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, deepened the kiss, tasted the coffee on his tongue, smelled the subtle tang of surgical scrub that never quite left his skin. She tilted her head, and he nipped her lips, traced the line of her jaw and down to her pounding pulse at the base of her neck. She guided him on top of her, his weight braced on his arms, but she drew him down until his full weight pinned her.
She floated.
No fears, no worries, no will power.
No wondering if she should stop or if she could stop – because she didn’t want to stop.

The Club (The Club Series Book 1) by Lauren Rowe

BOOK ONE of The Club Series by USA Today and Internationally bestselling author, Lauren Rowe.

Get ready to delve into the fantastically romantic world of The Club Series. These books combine wit and passion perfectly to keep you enthralled every step of the way. The best part? The Club is merely the beginning, as you will have six more incredible novels to anticipate while you are engaged with this one.

When playboy businessman Jonas Faraday receives a private note from the anonymous intake agent assigned to process his online application to an exclusive club, he becomes obsessed with finding her and giving her the satisfaction she claims has always eluded her.

Sarah : "When I read Jonas Faraday’s brutally honest personal message on his application to The Club, I practically climaxed at my desk. I’m an idiot to risk losing my job but I couldn't resist contacting him. I knew my confession would be like dangling an irresistible carrot in front of his nose—but never in a million years did I think he’d actually hunt me down."

Jonas :"I was shocked to get my intake agent’s email—I’d attached that note to my application on a whim, never expecting a reply from an actual person, let alone a reply as mind blowing as that. Her message was so alluring, so irresistible, I’ve been spiraling into a full-blown obsession ever since I got it. What’s her name? What does she look like? Finding her is my top priority."

In The Club, what starts out as an innocent exploration of attraction quickly spirals into a steamy story of unbridled passion, obsession, heartbreak, and, ultimately, redemption.

Jen's Review 4 Stars

Ok This book is the first of the series - I've already read books 7 and 8 - so I'm going back to the beginning and seeing how it all plays out :)

The start of this book was a bit much - Like pretty much all it talks about is Jonas's "God Like Complexion" and his ability to get any woman he wants -
Then there's Sarah - the girl who's missing her big "O"  Ok not really missing it , since you can't miss something you never had, right??

I was worried about this story - the whole thing seemed focused on those two things - and it threw me off after reading the other stories - but I kept reading because I knew there was more to it....

And I was right :) BIG TIME More to this story than just those two things going on - sure we see Jonas getting a bit obsessed with helping out Sarah, and Sarah who doesn't really care either way about her big "O" .
But believe me, by the end of this book, you'll be glued to it - I actually already started book 2 a few minutes ago - then I decided I needed to write out my review before my focus got cloudy :)

So here it is - Book one - Jonas and Sarah - great story! Fun romance, and hell - send me to Brizel - I want to hear those cute little monkey's howl :)

Book Blitz Come Undone by Penny Dee

Come Undone
Penny Dee
Publication date: February 18th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance, Sports
“You want to know why I train? It’s because it’s the only time I’m not thinking about Tyler and the fact that I killed him.”
Jake Pennington is a hockey super star. Hot. Rich. Gorgeous. And super talented. But when a series of personal tragedies rock his world, Jake’s life is ripped apart and he is brought to his knees. Broken and completely devastated, he retreats to his family cabin in Canada desperate to forget the world and something he once knew as happiness.
“My therapist would say it was me trying to reclaim my life back. To recapture the girl I had once been—frightened of nothing and living life on a whim.”
Mackenzie Eden is battling her own demons. Following a horrific incident in college, Mackenzie throws herself into her job as a means to outrun her pain and her litany of phobias. When her path crosses with Jake Pennington she sees a way to bring them both out of the darkness and back into the light.
Only, Jake’s not buying it. He doesn’t want a sports agent and he doesn’t want a hockey career. Not that Mackenzie is willing to listen. She has a point to prove, not to mention, a bet to win.
Come Undone is a story of two people finding each other in the darkness. A sports romance, it will make you laugh, cry and fall head over heels in love.
When I came out of the bathroom, Jake had changed into a clean pair of sweats that hung low on his slim hips. He was shirtless and when he turned around, his spectacular torso came into view. I stopped in my tracks. Holy hell!
He grinned when he saw me in his flannel shirt.
I shifted self-consciously from one foot to the other. “I guess I was thinking it would be something a little more . . . hockeyish.” I said, holding down the short hem.
He rolled his eyes. “Because that’s what we hockey players do—save our hockey jerseys for sleepovers.”
I exhaled deeply, wondering about the sleeping arrangements. There was only one bed.
As if he could read my mind, Jake said, “Relax, Z. I’ll take the couch.”
It was a good, decent offer in theory. But in practice, it was a frustrating fail. Jake was way too big for the squeaky two-seater sofa, and every time he tried to get comfortable the springs moaned and groaned beneath his weight.
Lying rigid in his comfortable bed, I finally had enough and sat up. “Oh, for Christ’s sake, you can hop into bed with me.”
But Jake decided to play the martyr. “I’m fine. I will fall asleep soon.”
“When? Dawn?” I sighed. “Will you please just come and share this bed with me, Jake?”
The two-seater sofa wheezed as he sat up. “Fine. But just so you know, I’m not having sex with you.”
I watched him cross the room. “You’re hysterical.”
“I mean it. I’m not that type of guy,” he said, standing next to the bed in all his six-pack glory.
“Trust me, I’m not that type of girl.” I sank back into the pillow. “You’re completely safe with me.”
The mattress sank beside me as Jake climbed in and moved about until he was comfortable.
Awkwardness hung between us as we both lay there and stared up at the ceiling.
“Want to cuddle?” Jake finally asked, totally breaking the awkwardness between us.
I broke into laughter but threw a spare pillow at him as a warning. “Stay on your side. I warn you, I bite.”
He shoved the pillow I’d thrown at him behind his head. “Now you’re just coming on to me.”
I chuckled. “Pervert.”
He looked over and grinned, and goddamn if I didn’t want to kiss him.
I quickly turned away to study the ceiling.
Yep. I was in trouble.

Author Bio:
I have always written stories for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first book when I was five years old. It was called 'The Goodies' and it was a short story about driving to the shops to get some milk. Needless to say, it was a very short book and hardly the page turner. It was also illustrated in orange felt tip pen because it was the only felt tip pen left in the pencil case that wasn’t dried up and useless.
My first attempt at writing romance was in high school when my athletic ambitions were replaced with Sunday sessions in my bestfriends bedroom, smoking cigarettes and writing smut about the hot guy at school. They were dreadfully crude stories. Lots of awkward fumblings in the dark or a series of awful first kisses. They were also very straight forward. Very straight to the point. Because I didn’t have a clue about what I was talking about. And I used terrible words such as “shaft”, “her moist warmth” and “velvet cavern”…yeah, they were awesome!
In following years I wisely gave up the cigarettes, became Mum to the “best kid in the world” and married a vastly understanding and supportive soul who tolerated the complete absence of my inner domestic goddess. Through a lot of trial and error, I think I may have started to write stories other people would want to read … without an orange felt tip pen in sight…
Oh … and you can find me in Australia.

Ball Peen Hammer by Lauren Rowe

TBall Peen Hammer by [Rowe, Lauren]

AMAZON (Free on Kindle Unlimited)

Ball Peen Hammer by Lauren Rowe

From the USA Today and Internationally bestselling author of The Club Series, Lauren Rowe, comes a sexy standalone romantic comedy novel unlike anything you have ever read before: Ball Peen Hammer.

"Keane Morgan wouldn’t return any of my calls or texts, and I was pissed as hell about it. I didn’t want to drive from Seattle to L.A. with the guy any more than he wanted to drive with me, but I had no frickin’ choice in the matter--at least, not if I wanted to use his brother Dax’s coveted parking spot at UCLA.

Okay, so it turned out Keane was objectively gorgeous, and, fine, pretty funny, too. But did he have to be so damned in love with himself? I mean, jeez, the cocky way he flashed those dimples was just so orchestrated. And, honestly, what kind of guy uses the phrase “baby doll” with a straight face? Oh, that’s right: the kind of guy who’s a male stripper.

Yup, the cocky jerk turned out to be Seattle’s answer to Magic Mike, a stripper known as “Ball Peen Hammer”--which meant Keane Morgan was emphatically not the kind of guy I’d ever fall for.

Not. At. All.

No freakin’ way.

Well, until Keane convinced me to fall for him, that is.

Which I did.

Indulge in the enticing words of this phenomenal author, as she invites you into a world filled with passion, lust, and forbidden desires. One of the sexiest novels ever written, while still maintaining an enormous amount of wit and imagination. If you thought you would never be able to get into romance novels, it's time to think again.

Ball Peen Hammer is a full-length, standalone sexy romantic comedy about Keane Morgan (one of four Morgan brothers introduced in The Club Series) and Maddy Milliken (the little sister of Hannah Banana Montana Milliken).

Although Keane and Maddy’s love story is set in the universe of The Club Series, it is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger and no prior reading required. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Check this out!!!!!
I've contacted Miss Lauren Rowe and had an awesome chat with her :) She's as awesome as her books are ! Seriously!!
Sadly Ball Peen Hammer was released over a year ago - so she's in the middle of writing a new book and her head is full of that character - but she sent me the link to one of her Character Interviews !

Mister Ball Peen Hammer
Answers My Five Burning Questions and more

1.    Let’s start off with Kill, Marry or Screw? Selecting a person to kill, even hypothetically, is really bad karma, baby doll. I certainly don’t want someone plotting to kill me, so I’d better pass on that. Marriage? Pass. I’m too young to be making lifelong promises to anyone about anything. I can barely keep a promise to call my momma tomorrow. Screw? The only person I have any desire to screw these days is the one and only Maddy Behind the Camera, Madelyn Elizabeth Milliken. Yee-boy! Sexy girl.
2.   What would you do if could do anything in the world? That’s easy. Pitch a no-hitter in the World Series.

What do you love most about your girl?Man, my girl Maddy’s a smart-girl. A helluva lot smarter than me, that’s for sure. And she’s funny as hell, too. (True story: Maddy made me laugh yesterday, right as I was I taking a sip of orange juice and it totally shot outta my nose, brah. Hilare.) And she’s talented, too. And so fucking sweet, sugar won’t even melt in her mouth. Most of all, though, I think I love the way she makes me feel about myself. She makes me feel like I can do anything–like I’m some kind of superhero. She makes me want to deserve the way she looks at me.

What animal are you most afraid of?
Okay, bear with me here, brah. What’s that little animal that hides in bushes and then sneaks out and kills you? It’s a stealthy little fucker, but I can’t remember what it’s called. But, anyway, that’s the animal I’m most afraid of. Bee tee dubs, when I asked my best friend Zander what that animal is called, he was like, “A snake?” And I’m like, “No, dude. Not a snake. This stealthy fucker-thing is a mammal.” And Zander was like, “A stealthy mammal that hides in bushes and then sneaks out and kills you? You mean, a lion?” And I was like, “No, fuck! No, not a lion. It’s small.” And Zander replied, “And it sneaks out of bushes and kills you? There’s no such animal, Peenie Weenie. You’re high.” Well, fuck that! I’m positive that deadly little mammal exists, I just can’t remember what it’s called. So, yeah, whatever that thing is, my answer to your question is that. (And to answer the question that’s surely rolling around in your head right now: No, Zander and I were not drunk or stoned or otherwise chemically impaired during the conversation detailed above.)

5.  Finally who is really your moms favorite?
There is no “really” needed in this wording of this question, son. If any of my three brothers or sister think it’s one of them, then I’d posit the following query: “Who gets extras every time Mom makes lasagna? And who makes Momatron laugh ‘til she literally pees? And who used to write Motherboard little poems when he was a little dude? That’s right, son, the one and only Keane Elijah Morgan. There’s no doubt Momma Lou loves me the most of all her five kids, and if my siblings disagree they can SUCK IT! *drops the mic* (Ain’t no shame in my game. I’m a momma’s boy through and through.)

6.For bonus points, what’s your favorite swear word?Oh, man, that’s like asking me to pick a favorite child. I love all my children equally. But, okay, if pressed, then I’d say I’m an ardent fan of the word “fucker.”
Jen's Review 5 Stars!

OMG!!!! This book is like no other! I cannot believe this book exists and it's not the talk on every book blog yet!

Ball Peen Hammer - aka - Keane Morgan - this guy will get anyone wrapped around his little finger with just a shot of his dimples - the way he talks, and thinks, and the way he moves - just absolutely phenomenal!  Seriously! How did the author create some of the things that came out of his mouth!?  I was laughing so hard!  I have so many quotes highlighted on my kindle, I don't even know where to begin!

If you have no idea who Keane Morgan is, that's ok - because this stand alone book will explain it all - sure it's better when you know who his brothers are, and his mom - OMG! That phone group text while they were at the gas station reminded me of my kids! Yes I'm cool and I know where the microphone emoji goes in a conversation - but I have mis-used it a few times with my kids and got the full on lecture and even banned from conversations - I am totally in love with the whole Morgan family )

I've read Captain, and I"ve read Ball Peen Hammer, and now I'm ready to go back to the "The Club" and start at the beginning :) I'm totally looking forward to it ..

BUT THIS STORY....... Maddy is Hanna the Banana's sister - who is Henn's girlfriend - if you don't know who they are, it's ok :)
Anyways - so Maddy is moving to LA to start her Jr Year at filming school - her story is sweet. She just wants a place to park her car that's close to school - and luckily her sister lives in the apartments just a few short blocks away, along with Dax Morgan who lives accross the hall, so voila! Maddy gets a parking spot! And she'll be on the road in no time!

Hanna is worried about Maddy making the 2-day drive by herself, so Dax says his brother Keane will ride down with her since he's been meaning to come out to LA for awhile now.

Only getting ahold of Keane is not happening!

OMG Ok - so we meet Keane - he's a male stripper - NOT a gigolo - he's in it for the illusion that lets these women want him. He's got his mind power sublime messages that will make you roll your eyes, yet want to try them out as well.

So being a stripper takes up a lot of his free time, and sometimes he just doesn't feel like picking up his phone.
One thing about the Morgan family, is they're close - really close, but when Keane sees the text from Dax saying he needs a favor and to call him ASAP - he kind of skips over it. nothing good could come out of a favor from Dax - right?

Well - a few days go by and he gets the text from a Maddy Million (I think is her last name) talking about a trip - but he has no idea what she's talking about, so he's not going to deal with that until something jogs his memory -

Then we get a fun little stint with Keane and Zander (OMG Zander and Keane together - in Captain they were funny and awesome all in their own way, but in this book! Together they're really a force to be reckoned with!) and a new text from Maddy  -

I'm totally not doing this book justice with this review - for that I'm sorry! I don't want to spoil his sense of humor - it's a shock to read some of the things that come out of his mouth - like his 10-year plan with married women?!? OMG! his logic is so..... out there - and yet this is something he strongly believes.

The conversations they have in the car on the way up there will really blow you away.
Seriously - I just have to say read this book :) It will be added to my read again shelf :)

I Think this is probably my favorite quote from the book -really sums up Keane Morgan

“You’re blackmailing me,” I sneered at him, fury raging within me at the realization. “You want me to do something in return before you allow me to wake up.”
He raised his hand in a gesture of supplication. “Not blackmail,” he assured. “I’m looking to employ you for a time.”
I recoiled. “Employ me? As what? Muscle? Is this the Underworld’s version of the Mafia?” Now that I thought about it, Hades did remind me of a mob boss. He even looked like some I knew. “I don’t play that, sorry.”
Hades grinned. “I want to make a deal with you, Callista. You find out who is trying to kill my son. Give me a name and a motive. And I’ll restore you to life.”

It’s not often that Alpha challenges take place. And this—where I fight a fellow pack mate for the right to be Alpha—is unusual. It’s never happened before in the history of our pack.
Then all thoughts go out of my head as Gabriel beats his chest. Head thrown back, he howls out a challenge. It echoes around the courtyard and then further out into the forest.
Then a howl from beyond the complex, then another. It’s the feral shifters.
Lowering his gaze back at me, Gabriel yells across the space, “Hear that, girl, even the wild shifters out there acknowledge me as their leader. You are nothing in comparison.”
I don’t react, don’t even move a muscle. Don’t breathe. Closing my eyes, I focus inwards, reaching out through the bond for Luke. Zoom in on that gleaming silver-gray and amber strand that connects us.
Energy throbs down the mating bond. Pours through me. Filling me with a rush of adrenaline. A churning. A violent influx of hope so intense and powerful that my eyes fly open. I want to run toward him, jump him and kick his legs out from underneath him. But—
Wait! Luke’s voice rings through my head. Clear as a bell.
I lock onto Gabriel’s gaze. And wait.
I don’t move.
Stay still.
Bide my time.
The buzz of disquiet from the pack members in the balconies above. The trees bowing their branches, rustling their leaves. The stray roar of a wild tiger in the forest. The faraway hum of vehicles on the road leading to the city…All of it fades. Leaving me in a bubble of silence.
I watch Gabriel tense. His muscles twitch with impatience. The sweat glistens on his face. Then, just as I begin to lose patience, reach the end of my vigil, he gives in.
With a roar of impatience, he rushes toward me.
I still wait, Luke’s strength grounding me, holding me when I would’ve leapt to meet him. In place until the last minute. Then, Go! A pulse rippling down the mating bond pushes me to step aside at the last second.
Gabriel’s body barrels past. So close the breeze in his wake ruffles my clothes. He crashes face down, and before he can recover, I’ve leaped on his back with enough force to hear the satisfying crunch of snapping bone.
A howl from him, and then I raise my hands, fingers clasped, aiming for his forehead. But I underestimate his speed. Gabriel’s a shifter, and his body blurs as he moves. He throws me off with such force that I fly through the air, landing halfway down the courtyard on my back. The breath knocked out of me, my head crashing against the hard ground. Before he can jump on me, I’m up. On my feet and moving aside as he rushes me. And misses.
This time, he turns fast, his movements almost too agile for his big body. And I don’t have a choice but to meet him face-to-face.
Head-on, I don’t stand a chance. He’s bigger, more powerful. He’ll kill me.

Captain by Lauren Rowe

Captain by [Rowe, Lauren]

Amazon (free on Kindle Unlimited)

Captain by Lauren Rowe

"Captain is full of delicious chemistry, nonstop laughs, and HOT sexy times - the perfection combination to make an unforgettable romance!" A.L. Jackson, NYT & USA Bestselling Author

From, Lauren Rowe, the USA Today and International bestselling author of The Club Series and Ball Peen Hammer comes a sexy standalone romance: Captain.

It wasn’t the way this kind of story was supposed to go . . .
Insta-love isn’t supposed to turn into insta-hate.

But that’s exactly what happened when the hot-as-hell dreamboat I met in a bar turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag-player-douche looking for nothing but a little side action. Jerk.

And he has the nerve to call me a liar and a “sociopath”? Assh*le.

And now, three months later, through a mind-blowing series of events I couldn’t have predicted in a million years, it turns out my boss is marrying his sister in Hawaii and I’ve got to play nice with him for an entire freaking week.

Okay, sure, I’ll put on a happy face this week and act like I’ve never even met the jerk before--did I mention his sister is marrying my boss?--but that doesn’t mean I’ll like it. And it certainly doesn’t mean I’ll stop secretly hating the cocky bastard’s guts.

Because I do.
I hate him.
I really do.

I just wish my brain would explain the situation to my body . . . because every time he flashes that panty-melting smile at me, it takes all my self-restraint not to jump the bastard’s hot-as-f*ck bones.

*For fans of Ball Peen Hammer and The Club Series, please note Captain features Ryan Morgan and takes place one year before the events of Ball Peen Hammer. It also includes characters from both Ball Peen Hammer and The Club Series, though Captain is a complete standalone with no prior reading is required.

Jen's Review 4+ Stars

Well it's obvious It's not the first book in this series - but that doesn't matter because I've already fallen in love with every single character mentioned in this book! And I'm going to be binge reading every single one of them :)

Love at First sight? Fate? Destiny? This is the reason I read so many romance books - the hope and dream that it could happen to anyone at any time without warning -

Ryan - aka - Captain - aka Rum cake - aka anything that goes along with the Rum series - is an honest and truly good guy - he wants to find love, and have lots of babies - and when he realizes Olivia isn't the one, he gladly hands over the $50 he owed his brother and vows to move on from the "bunny boiler" .

In this book, Ryan's younger sister Kat is marrying Josh (from one of the other books in this series) So Ryan plans on meeting Josh for a drink and to welcome him into the family, as well as warn him about breaking his sister's heart -
but while Ryan is waiting, 2 flight attendants walk into the bar and Ryan can't take his eyes off one of them. He knew instantly what this meeting was, and he needed to talk to her.

Samantha the Raunchy Flight attendant wasn't what Tessa had in mind, but with her crazy fun-loving BFF, she really didn't get the choice.

Samantha and Ryan hit it off right away - their back and forth banter is fun and friendly and easy for the both of them.
But when Ryan's ex shows up screeching at him and calling Samantha names, Tessa decided she didn't want this kind of cheating, good for nothing jerk in her life. No matter how strong their connection was.

Ryan went bat-shit crazy when he couldn't find Samantha after she ran out - no last name, n o phone number, no way to find her again!

What's a guy to do?? lol
This is the part where you run into the past couples from other stories - but even though they don't go into details about who they are and their story, you know instantly there's one there.

Sooo I'm going to head out and check out Lauren Rowe's Amazon page and see what she has for this crazy, fun loving family - I want to read about Josh and Kat, but at the end of this book it says Keane has his story - so I kind of want to jump into that one - he's got to be the most hilarious guy! I love him :)

The question begs to be asked. Is there anything sexier than a cowboy?

Giving her bodyguards and the paparazzi the slip, heiress Annelise Montjoy comes to Maverick Junction on a mission to help her ailing grandfather. But keeping her identity hidden in the small Texas town is harder than she expected—especially around a tempting cowboy like Cash. He’s the kind of man who makes her want to spill all her secrets. Soon Annelise starts to wonder if she’s finally found the man who can love her for herself rather than her money. But will the secrets they both keep ruin their plans to ride off into the sunset together?

Maverick Junction #2
Lynnette Austin
Forever Yours

Sophie London hates Texas. The longhorns freak her out and the wide-open spaces are more unnerving than a Chicago alleyway at night. But Sophie wouldn’t miss her cousin’s wedding for the world—even if it means returning to Maverick Junction . . . and to the dangerously irresistible Ty Rawlins.

A single father of rambunctious triplet boys, Ty knows trouble when he sees it—and Sophie’s got it written all over her. Yet he’s never been able to stop thinking about her, after their one brief meeting. Maybe fate is giving him a second chance. But if Ty wants Sophie to swap her stilettos for cowgirl boots, they’ll each have to face the past—together.

Lynnette Austin, a recovering middle school teacher, loves long rides with the top down and the music cranked up, the Gulf of Mexico when a storm is brewing, chocolate frozen custard, anything by Blake Shelton, Chris Young, and Thomas Rhett, and sitting in her local coffee shop reading and enjoying an iced coffee. She and her husband divide their time between Southwest Florida's beaches and Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Having grown up in a small town, that's where her heart takes her—to those quirky small towns where everybody knows everybody...and all their business, for better or worse. Writing for Grand Central and Sourcebooks, she’s published twelve novels and is at work on a new series.
