Double Shot by Christine d'Abo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Coffee shop owner Sadie Long has been lusting after her good friend Paul Williams for years. So she's more than a little intrigued when he invites her to a business meeting at Mavericks, the sex club where he works. While catering an event at the club is not quite the proposition she was hoping for, her business could use the boost. And she can't resist the chance to work closely with Paul in such a sexually charged atmosphere. Enter the club's hot owner, Josh, and suddenly Sadie's fantasizing about being part of a threesome.
Paul has always wanted Sadie, but never thought she'd see him as anything more than a friend. On the night of the party, he and Josh tempt Sadie to reveal her deepest desire--a desire both men are eager to help fulfill.
Giving in to her sensual side, Sadie enjoys a night of mind-blowing sex. But in the light of day, will she lose Paul as a friend, or gain him as a lover?

Holy Crap! This book is
Got this e-book from Netgalley - It comes out The first week of October - so watch for the recommend :)
Hot stuff with this book! WOW! *blush* I love a good threesome :)
This story is really great - It starts off with Sadie meeting her good friend Paul at his club - well a club he manages with his friend Josh - Sadie and Paul have been friends for a good 10+ years - and although Sadie has wanted to get together with Paul since her friend and his Ex introduced them, she values their friendship too much.
Paul asked Sadie to meet her at the club - which just so happens to be a sex club - Sadie is a little nervous. Although they've been friends for a long time, they've never really discussed intimate details of their lives... so Sadie had never been in the club before, and didn't really know what went on there.. But when she walked in, she had a good guess - although it was after hours, and the club was empty, She still noticed the giant cross with cuffs in the middle of the room - wow!
Paul invited Sadie up to his office to discuss the details - he wants her to cater a party that Josh is throwing - 80 of their best costumers... Sadie is excited about this opportunity to cater that many people - that's a LOT of food - and money , but then Paul throws her off by asking her what she thinks goes on in the club?? She doesn't know how to respond, Even though Paul had been the star of her fantasy's, she really didn't know a lot about BDSM and things like that... So when she guessed about "fulfilling your fantasy" Paul was happy to ask her "What's your secret fantasy Sadie?" That threw off Sadie even more - but Paul didn't pressure her. He just asked her to think about it - and the night of the big party, he was going to ask her again -
That's about the time Josh came into the office - Josh and Paul are good friends, but that's another side that Sadie didn't know much about. She knew who Josh was, but had never met him - But wow! What would it be like to be in a sandwich between the two?
Well Sadie thought about it - and many other things she'd like to do with the two of them for the next 2 weeks - finally the night of the party .... HA! Going to stop there :) Because it gets REALLY good :)
Sigh - this was a fun read - you learn to really appreciate the relationship between Sadie and Paul, The Story is told in Sadie's POV - so we are not aware of Paul's feelings until the night before when he comes over to go over the list of food -
Anyway - when I was reading this, I was a little thrown off by Josh - they didn't explain his part in all this until the end - not that it was bad - I was just curious about who he was when he entered the room - that's all I'll say :)
This is book ONE of a series of 3 books - If I remember reading right - the other 2 books will be out in November and December and I'm Thinking they're going to tell the stories of Ian (Sadie's gay Brother) and Pagie, their older sister - Ian is awesome, funny and he deserves a good lover - maybe Good Ol' Blue Eyes will find his way around the coffee shop again :)

A Shot in the Dark by Christine d'Abo My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Carter is one of the hottest men ever to walk into Paige Long's coffee shop. The attraction is mutual, and when Carter reveals himself to be a Dom, the submissive in Paige is aroused. Yet she brushes him off—her last relationship was abusive and she's unwilling to get involved with another Dom.
But when Carter returns the next day—in his firefighter uniform—Paige's fantasies really heat up. She can't resist his offer to get to know him over a drink at Mavericks, a local sex club. Their conversation quickly escalates to a session in one of the private rooms, and Paige is both thoroughly satisfied by Carter's skills in domination, and impressed with his selflessness as a lover.
Paige is ready to move on with her life. But can she trust in herself and submit to happiness?

I love this series :) This is book 2 of the Long Shot series - In the first book, Double Shot, we had Sadie and Paul and a little peice of Josh :)in this book we have Sadie's oldest sister Paige -
The series is about the 3 siblings who own a small coffee shop, and have put way too many hours in trying for a successful business. Sadie ran off with Paul, but still helps out with the baking - and Ian (their brother) is still in charge of everything else. Paige helps Ian with pretty much everything, including the extra long hours.
When we start off, Paige forgets something at the store, it's their first night off in awhile, but when she comes in, the 2 people that were SUPOSE to be in charge of the store, were actually in charge of each other - in kitchen, and not very quietly - luckily there weren't any customers in the shop. Paige had no choice but to fire them both.. on the spot - which meant their one night off, is no more - Ian's not going to be happy - but what other choice did she have?
Sitting at the counter waiting for closing time to approach, a small group come in, dressed like they're headed over to the Maverick - Paul and Josh's sex club that's just down the street -
Paige use to go there - she really loved it - but it's been 3 years now since she was with Rick - Just because she loved pain and Submitting, didn't mean he could take it as far as he did. a little too much pain and a little TOO much Dominance - Paige was afraid to get back into the scene, but she still longed to be spanked and Dominated.
Just as she was looking the group over, she noticed the really tall and built guy in the back - he totally looked the Dominate type. Instead of getting his coffee and going to sit with his friends, he took a seat at the bar. Paige was trying hard not to watch him, trying hard not to look interested. The small conversation she had confirmed that he was a Dom and she was very interested.
Next day, Ian found out the hard way that Beth was fired, and why. He was not happy. Since she closed the shop last night, coming in bright and early, she was tired, but she knew she had a shop to run and needed to be there. Just as she walked in, she was cornered by the same man that was here last night. Only he wasn't dressed for the club - he was a fireman! And he wanted to meet up with Paige at the Club. She tried to tell him that it wasn’t' her scene anymore - but he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Just told her to think about it and call him either way.
After awhile she had a talk with Ian and realized it was time to get her life back - so she called Carter and decided to meet him at Maverick's. After all, Josh would be there, and she trusted Josh.
This was a great story - I loved Josh in this one too, he is the sweetest - and is always looking out for everyone else. True he's in love with both Sadie and Paul, but he's still a great guy.
Carter is a great guy too - he may come off as a Typical Dom, but he's not - he got Paige to let him know how long it's been since she's been at the club - he didn't push for details as to why, but after knowing thta it's been 3 years, he could figure out that someone pushed her too hard - Carter was gentle, he was caring, and he knew just how far to push Paige. And Paige took it, and loved every second of it -
I learned a couple of new things from Double Shot (the first book) and this one didn't disappoint me either. The whole thing with the heated glass and peas *shiver* Wow! That was about the hottest thing I've ever read :) Trying to figure out how to introduce that to my husband :D
Awesome books! I can't wait for the third and final book to come out - I'm assuming it's Ian's story - it didn't set itself up very well with old Blue Eye's - so I'm more than anxious to find out how his story plays out >:)

Pulled Long by Christine d'Abo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
For months, coffee shop owner Ian Long has fantasized about a customer he knows only as "Blue Eyes." Until he learns Blue Eyes is in the midst of a divorce—the last thing Ian wants is to be the rebound experiment of a straight guy. Giving in to lust, he invites the man into the cafe after hours and they indulge in a little exhibitionist play, but Ian is unwilling to get involved.
But when he’s forced to see Jeff again to return his briefcase, Ian finally agrees to go out on a date. Dinner quickly becomes an erotic encounter in a special room at the sex club Mavericks, and Ian realizes Jeff satisfies desires he didn’t even know he had. The more he gets to know Jeff as a person, the harder it is to resist falling for him.
Jeff makes it clear he’s interested in more than just sex. He wants to go public with their relationship in more ways than one. But can Ian open his heart, when he fears it will be broken?
Jen's Old Review
I can't say this enough...I LOVE this series! I totally love Paige, Sadie and Ian , and all 3 of them totally deserve the happily ever after they deserve.
Ian especially - he works the hardest - I love how dedicated he is to the coffee shop, and how he loves his sisters, and always putting everything above him. He's a sweetheart.
But he has a past - one that has him feeling guilty and frustrated. Hard to focus on his own life when caring for someone ends up hurting them. So what's a guy to do?? nothing.
In the last book (Shot in the dark) just a the end, we found out the old "Blue Eye's" was in the middle of a messy devoice ... to a woman - Ian and Blue Eyes had a good thing going , they flirted, they talked... it was an ongoing relationship that neither of them felt was official - So when Ian found out Blue Eyes was married to a woman - he kicked him out... why?? Because Ian was afraid of being "THAT GUY" who was nothing but an experimental fling. Either Blue Eye's wanted a man, or a woman, but how could he be perfectly happy with him?
Jeff - Sweetheart to the heart - This guy is a classic - they don't make men this wonderful anymore.
Sure Jeff has had problems, his ex- wife wants to get back together with him, and he's struggling through hours upon hours of work - when you own your own company, you gotta put in the hours - Ian knew this just as well as Jeff did.
So that one cold rainy night in November when Jeff stepped off the curb and walked across the street. Looking into the coffee shop at midnight and seeing Ian doing paperwork - those ol' blue eyes that haunted Ian's dreams... Ian let him in.
HOT Scene! lol sorry (Love the M/M action from this book - it's by far one of the BEST that I've read *blush* )
Seems like these two have a certain secret fantasy in common - And how I would DEFINATLY take advantage of that fantasy if I were near by :)
All I can say is HOT STUFF! Loved this book A LOT!
I'm happy for this hard working family - all 3 of them deserve their happily ever after.
