Down to You by M. Leighton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance- Please be advised that this book is NOT YA friendly, not even in a New Adult category!
The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.
Olivia
Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through
college so she can return home to help her father run his business.
She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him,
even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear
what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white.
But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.
Cash
is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad
boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush
and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her.
Nash
is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible
and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other
than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia
from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch,
he makes her forget why they can never be together.
Black and
white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding
something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she
can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in
love. With both of them.
Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire.
She wants them both.
And they want her.
How will she ever choose between them?
Juls Review
I think I knew by the end of the 1st chapter what was going on and from there it was almost a downhill battle. I do have to give it the book at least 3 stars though cuz they, meaning all of them, Olivia, Cash and Nash, had chemistry. Oh and don’t worry, Cash and Nash don’t share Olivia, thank god! But its pretty damn close, maybe even a little too close for comfort.
One of the scenes that bugged me the most was when Cash or was it Nash??? came over to Olivia’s place and loomed in her bedroom. Okay, did he actually think he was going over just to talk or did he have other things on his mind. You know, like SEX! So you’d think him being a big boy would bring a condom. What? NO??? come on now! Now don’t get me wrong there are plenty of books that have characters doing the dirtay without protection and 9 months later you gotta bouncing baby and a funny yet uncomfortable story to tell but Cash/Nash going in unprepared was kinda idiotic. And then the famous line, “tell me you are on the pill” Like Olivia is gonna say No, cha right! She wants a piece. Cash/Nash, if you two are gonna loom in my room, come prepared to party! LOL
I am kinda excited that there was a to be continued at the end. I wanna know what kind of cat fight ensues with Marissa and Olivia and the books that Cash/Nash’s dad has on the guys that killed his wife, I’d like to see how everything will play out.
