OMG! This book was Hilarious!
"What do you call leather boots paired with a furry, red scarf? A croc and a fox in love.....
Warning: An ornery croc discovers he does have a pulse when a hot to trot fox decides to latch on, and never let go. Tongue in cheek humor, sizzling moments and a tiny, evil villain await.
A career military man, Viktor lives for the next mission – and his collection of weapons -- but a raid on an experimental lab makes him an unwilling protector, mostly because he can’t peel Renee off. A cold blooded croc, he never intended to settle down, but he didn’t count on a foxy lady warming his heart.
The world outside the laboratory was a big scary place. Unsure of how to deal with it, Renee latches onto the biggest, baddest, and sexiest, warrior around. Sharp toothed and with ice in his veins, Viktor’s violent side should have sent her running, but instead, she finds the courage to face her fears –and tame the lizard.
When danger comes knocking, with the intention of turning her lizard into a high priced fashion accessory, will Renee embrace her foxy side and show a croc she’s got what it takes to be his mate?
And will they finally vanquish the evil known as mastermind?

Ok imagine .. if you will .. A girl.. let's call her Project. She lives in a little cell that's barely bigger than she is. With nothing to do but count the ceiling tiles and wait for the scientists to come down to get her for testing... not pleasant testing. Drugs, shots, electro shots, whatever.. as long as it cured the boredom.. right!
Then all of a sudden, the sirens start to blare and people start screaming. She can hear pops of guns and people shouting orders.
She hears the others in the cells around her beginning to sob , their bars opening and being let lose.
But Project doesn't know what to think of these strange men. She felt safe in her cell that she's always known as home. She cowered back into a corner, trying to hide from those coming to get her. Where would they take her. What kind of tests would they do to her?
A big strong tank like Croc opens the last cell in the dungeon, and just as he thought it was empty, he saw the slightest movement in the far corner.
Trying to coax Project out and telling her she was free was easy. She felt safe with this big guy right away..
That is until he got her outside. When she took one look at the great big open sky, she made a mad dash back down to the dungeon and back into her cell.
Now Viktor was getting a little impatient but had to remind himself this was a victim. So being as gentle as he could, he tries to coax her back out of the cell. When that doesn't work. He throws her over his shoulder and jogs back up the stairs. He manages to put her down just before opening the door. but as soon as she saw the big sky again, she jumped on him and wouldn't let go.
Viktor knew this was going to cause problems. ROFLOL - and yes, just about everyone from FUC that worked with him gave his new fashion statement a glance, then a chuckle, and then they were full out laughing at him.
Viktor didn't really mind. He kind of liked having her cuddle up to him this way.
Project didn't know anything of the outside world. She didn't know anything before she became a prisoner, if there really was a "before" as far as she remembers, she has always been there.
Taking to her special Croc, feeling safe in his arms, she knew he would protect her from the Mastermind.
The Mastermind got away??? you bet - and Mastermind was laughing at FUC for being the very reason Mastermind escaped.
I really LOVED this book. There was a lot of my favorite bears, Chase and Mason, and their new wives, Miranda, the every so happy bunny and Jesse, the beautiful Swan.
And of course Viktor - the scary Croc! HA! I couldn't believe how cute this story was. I was skeptical with a Fox shifter and a Croc shifter. Both are new species for me, lol but Eve Langlais sure did pull this off.
Really looking forward to the next installment of FUC :)
Check out my reviews for the first two Furry United books : )
