Take Me (One Night with Sole Regret #3) by Olivia Cunning

Take Me (One Night with Sole Regret, #3)Take Me by Olivia Cunning
Book #3 of One Night with Sole Regret series
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

She is one woman he should never touch…

Sole Regret’s enigmatic vocalist, Jacob “Shade” Silverton, is a consummate womanizer, but even he knows better than to get involved with one special woman from his past. Mixing friendship and pleasure can only lead to a broken heart, and he’s suffered enough heartache to swear off relationships for a lifetime.

He is one man she has always desired…

Amanda Lange knows all about Shade’s naughty reputation, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to dive into the gorgeous rock star’s arms and into his bed. She convinces herself that one night of passion won’t complicate their friendship, but can she convince him of that?

They’re both playing with fire.

Neither of them realized how far one kiss would take them. As the flames of their passion ignite with the intensity of an inferno, will either of them escape the experience without being burned or will both be branded fool enough to take a chance on a relationship that was marked for ruin before it even began?

Juls Review
Well damnit! This series has burrowed under my skin and now has become my guilty pleasure! I said from the beginning that I wouldn’t move forward with this series and yet here I am, finished with book 3.

The lead singer of Sole Regret, Shade aka Jacob, can rock the mic and any and all willing females in the bedroom. But this one day off he wants to just chill with a beer. Is that even a possibility?

Shade is late to his daughter’s birthday party but ends up making her dreams come true by crowing her a princess. His bitch exwife Tina is all claws when he tries to see his heart but he ends up getting his way and has a moment to be himself with the one person that loves him no matter what his profession.

Amanda is Tina’s sister and totally off limits to Shade. She’s been a buddy to him even before he started having unwanted feeling for her. She’s smart and is put together and not his type. Except she is and he wants more of her.

Amanda offers Shade a ride home since his ride was stolen. Their easy banter keeps their convo going until they get to his place and before long there’s innocent touches, which in turn leads to kisses and turn progresses to the bedroom. That scene in the bedroom with the tv’s and swings alone gets 5 stars for this book! It was hotness at every angle.

I have to say though that I wasn’t very happy with the end. I wanted something more final. I know he doesn’t have it in him but to take things day by day but there’s so much shit that’s gonna come down on him and Amanda if and when Tina finds out what’s up. Not gonna be pretty :(

Dont forget to check out Book 1 and 2 of the One Night with Sole Regret series.
