Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2)
Second Chance Boyfriend
by Monica Murphy

**Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual content and language, mature subject matter**
New Adult Contemporary

Lost. That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.

But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her.

Love her…

If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Forever.

Juls' Review

Two months has passed since Fable last heard from Drew and its driving her completely insane.  She wants him one minute and hates him the next.  Their relationship has always been harder than any other normal couple.  But they are far from normal.

Drew has dark secrets but that doesn’t stop Fable from loving this broken man.  He thinks he will lose her at every turn but her love for him is too strong and powerful to walk away from.  They were fated from the start and nothing will ever ruin it.

Fable has a new man in her life and he’s handsome and rich and want to take care of her.  But its not what it seems.  Colin is her new boss and he sees what an amazing person she is and now with a new job she can finally do what she’s been wanting to do, get a new place just for her and her brother.  Her mother was never around and that hasn’t changed in this installment.  Her mother is just as bad, if not worse than before.

Second Chance Boyfriend takes you on a journey of self discovery and forgiveness and love like you’ve never experienced before.  Its truly a beautiful love story that will make your heart flutter one minute and sigh the next.  Drew and Fable may be completely messed up but their support for each other was amazing to witness.  For having such horrible lives you would think they would jeopardize the pure love that has blossomed between them but they don’t.  They nurture and feed it with so much love and nothing can destroy their foundation.

I loved how everything played out.  What happens to Adele, although I think she deserved more.  And the way Drew’s father reacts to everything.  I hope his recovery of the news will help him move forward to be a better person and father.

Now my only complaint is, where my story for Colin?  He so needs one and I already know who his female lead should be.  They need a HEA.

Overall an amazing read.  Thank you Monica for allowing me to have the ARC of this.  I cant tell you how incredible this book was.  It was a fantastic end to the perfect couple!

Jen's Review

LOVE this couple to death! This second book picks up about 2 months after the first book leaves off.
Both Fable and Drew are miserable. And it shows to everyone.

Drew finally sought help from a shrink, helping him walk through the evil torments from his childhood. Deal with his Step-mommy issues as well as his current issues with Fable.
He's not good enough for her. She deserves better. Yeah, we all feel that way about someone we love more than we love ourselves.
His Dr. thinks if he is committed to giving up his happiness for her, he needs to learn to move on. Get back into hanging out with his friends.. even though he never really considered them his friends, but he knew he had to do something.
And when Jace invited him to Logan's 21st birthday party at the newest Restaurant/ Club, he decided spending a night out with the guys would be the way to start.

Fable isn't doing well either. Her heart is broken, but she did everything she could to get Drew to talk to her, but he wont. So she needs to get on with her life, for Owen's sake and her own.

A new job presents itself to her in the form of a beautiful wealthy guy. The money is a lot better, so she leaves her old job at the bar.

And that's the one night of Logan's birthday party that she'll never forget.

With Fable and Jen  waitressing, the group of rowdie football players get intense.
Ty remember's Fable. He remembers her very well from the past. But when Drew see's Fable struggling with Ty's newest idea, he has no way of controling the anger inside of him. Fable is still his, even though he doesn't have rights to claim her.

After work Fable gets a text from Drew. She rushes to pick him up. he's drunk and he's miserable.
She takes him home. They talk ... well, kind of talk ... lol
Things start to look up for them, there is hope. They know they still need to work things out, but they're going for it...

Just when things start to look up for these two, Mommy Dearest pops up again. And she's trying to screw with everyone's minds this time....

I'm totally in love with these two. I really am.  If anyone deserves a HEA , it's these two. They go through so much in their lives, grow up so much faster than any normal person should have to.
