A break from everything he’s always known; the country club life-style, his life-long friends and his overbearing parents. He just wants to be free to get lost and not feel the pain he has endured.

Kimber Maguire has been dealt the tough card her entire life. An ailing mom, a sister who refuses to face reality and a yearning for the one that got away, she finds putting one foot in front of the other as her only saving grace. What she really wants is to be free of feeling the pressure that is her life, free to get lost.

But when Jordan finds Kimber while losing himself, they both discover, sometimes you just need to feel to be found

Jen's Review
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

REALLY cute story - I really liked this one -
Just felt a little rushed, but other than that, it was really a fun book to read.

Kimber is working 2 jobs, and taking care of her sick mother. Her mother isn't easy to get along with, but Kimber doesn't have a choice. Her sister left when things got tough, and she is all her mother has left.

Trying to go to school part time before work , she struggles with living her own life. But a life she desperately craves.

Jordan is a good guy - he's in love with Susan and life couldn't be better. He starts to notice she's off a little, and when he tries to talk to her dad about it, her dad brushes him off.
When Susan finally can't take anymore, Jordan is left with guilt of failure and a broken heart.

Nothing seems to be able to fix him. Until he finally gets up and leaves. Leaves everything. His begging mother , his apartment, his life.
Driving without any destination, he finds a bar in a little town where no one knows who he is. There is nothing here to remind him of Susan.

So Jordan gets word of a Ranching Job that's opened up. He doesn't do hard labor, but he's ready for the mindless work that will keep him from thinking of his life he's trying to leave behind.

When Jordan first see's Kimber, he feels the instant connection, but feeling guilt for betraying Susan. Is this his second chance to live again??

Kimber takes notice to the new guy in town, but knowing her luck, she'd never catch his eye.
But when he does finally see her, and really look at her, she can't help but hope that there might be a chance.

Really cute story - like I said though, it seemed rushed - Susan wasn't gone for more than a month before Jordan started getting interested in Kimber. I think a little more time should have passed for that.

Then in the end, Kimber seems to forgive and forget a little too easy. I thought she'd fight him a little more.
but even with that rushed ending, it was still fun to read :)
