So I started this knowing full well that I was in a reading funk. I went back and forth all day debating on if I should pick it up. I did this off and on. And in the end I wasn't disappointed!
Who wouldn't want to be with a sophisticated man who just bought a painting of you naked?
Brynne came to London to escape a past that the reader has yet to understand. She's a student and a model for her friend who happens to paint her nude. Mind you no actual private part is seen in these paintings so they are very tasteful.
Brynne meets Ethan the night of her friends showing. She doesn't know who he is but is instantly attracted to him.
Ethan is the owner of a security company. He receives an email from an old friend who needs his daughter watched over. He doesn't want to do it but the next email he gets contains a picture of a beautiful woman. He can't help but say yes.
Brynne only see a man who wants to be with her. She fights him at every turn. She doesn't need a man.
But slowly he breaks her shell and she's buying essentials for his place.
Brynne and Ethan are a fiery couple. Their coupling starts a riot inside their bodies and when the find release, its explosive!! whew!! *fanning self*
And oh boy the ending.......freaking cliffhangers!!! They kill me every time but it leaves me begging for more.
very enjoyable read

Cute story - I didn't realize going in that it was only part of a story though. I wasn't happy when I stayed up late to finish it only to find THAT kind of an ending :(
But it was a good story - Brynne is struggling in life trying to forget her unspoken past. Whatever happened to her , hurt her, big time. Only selected few know what happened, and she'd rather keep it that way.
As an American, with a full scholarship at the London University, her family back in the states, it was all she could do to keep her Flat and pay the bills.
Posing at times for her friend Benny while he painted her, to earn a few extra dollars.
The story starts off at Benny's show, and Brynne is looking at the painting he did of her. Benny walks up to her to let her know which gentleman has been eyeing her, and had recently bought her picture. Brynne had admitted he was beyond cute, but knew he was pretty intense, just by looking at him.
When she left, she started towards the Tube to ride home. And that's where Ethan offered her a ride.
Sure she knew taking a ride from a stranger was wrong, and she said so. But there was something about Ethan that was able to convince her that she would be safe.
Once she got home, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
The next day as she just got to work, Ethan called her. Asking her to cash in on the favor she owed him, since he took her home. She did her best to say NO, she didn't need the complications of Ethan in her life, but Ethan doesn't take NO very well.
Their date goes smoothly, Ethan has an image to uphold in public. But when they're in private, things with Ethan get really intense.
Brynne isn't one for relationships. Whatever happened in the past scared her. and she is scared, but still, Ethan is very insistent, and wants only her.
Like I said, cute story. Ethan is a true Alpha guy, but is head over heels in love, and would do ANYTHING to keep Brynne safe and happy.
