Love Unscripted by Tina Reber -

Love Unscripted (Love, #1)Love Unscripted by Tina Reber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Look out Twilight - Seascape is coming to town
Move over Rob Pattison, Ryan Christenson is now in my heart!

Ryan Christensen just wanted to be an actor. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that accepting a role in an unknown film would toss his career into overdrive. His new fame has cost him dearly; anonymity is no longer an option. His fans stalk him, the paparazzi hound him, and Hollywood studios all want a piece of him. Despite all of that, Ryan Christensen craves the most basic of human needs - to have love in his heart and privacy in his life.

Taryn Mitchell, the story's protagonist, is a realist. She's been feigning contentment, running the family pub in Seaport, Rhode Island, while quietly nursing her own internal heartaches. Her feet are fairly glued to the ground and she doesn't buy into all the hype that has descended on her tiny, coastal town. In her world, men are safe if they're kept at a distance.

Fate has other plans for these two when their paths cross one sunny afternoon. A group of female fans has attacked him, leaving his shirt torn, his face cut, and Ryan in obvious distress. Bonds between them form from the most dramatic of circumstances while jealousy, insecurity, and the stress of his celebrity life try to tear them apart.

Through all the tabloid lies, secrecy, and pressure, can Taryn's peace and Ryan's high-profile insanity live together in harmony?

Jen's Review
This book made me think of Twilight :) It took me forever to read the books because it was so "IN" and when the movie came out - I wasn't even tempted.. that is until I was SO BORED one night and wanted to watch SOMETHING I hadn't seen before from redbox - and there it was.....
Next day I bought the book and I've read it over and over and over again... you get the picture right - I'm one of those fans. Can't say I'd camp out on a set, but if I was walking by and saw Rob Pattison sitting in a restaurant, I can't say I wouldn't text everyone I knew to let them know. I'd probably be too shy to approach, but hey - Every movie star has fans, and it's got to be hard. No one seems to understand Rob Pattison is a real person too.... LOL ♥

Anyways - so here we are. Tayrn, the owner of Mitchell’s Pub which was inherited by her father when he passed away.
Tayrn is surrounded by fans of the "Oh so famous" Ryan Christianson. Sure he was hot, but she really didn't get the obsession.
He's the leading star in the newest Seascape series- They're in their little town of Road Island filming the second movie, so just about every station that they turn to in the Pub is following Ryan all over the place - OMG - he's getting into his limo! BAH! he's not even looking at the camera, he's trying to get out of there as fast as he can.
But then there is Tayrn's best friend Marie who is OBSESSED with Ryan.

When Tayran was starting to prep the bar for opening that night, she heard a big commotion outside. She opened the door and saw the one and only Ryan Christianson running for her bar!
He was looking for a quick getaway, but instead of finding the back door, he found the door to her stairwell leading up to her apartment.
She quickly closed the front door blocking out the screaming fans and paparazzi and shutting all the blinds.
She found him sitting on the stairs. She brought him out to the bar, got him a beer and proceeded to stock the bar. Trying to give the guy some peace and quiet.
But Ryan didn't really want quiet. He was curious why he was being ignored.

They started talking a little about his crazy fans, and his craving for normalcy. They played pool, flirted a little and had a few beers.
He called his driver to pick him up and he left.

Tayrn thought about their 4 hours together. It was nice. He seemed like such an ordinary guy. Too bad all those crazy fans out there were so obsessed with him. She wanted to shield him away from it all.

That Saturday night, the Pub was hoppin with a local band playing. When in walked Ryan and a couple of guys from the movie and their security guards.
The fans went crazy! Tayrn had to close the door and not let anyone else through the doors. But that was ok, because she got to see him again. He was careful not to spend too much time with her. They were careful with their eyes to only look at each other from across the room, but there was defiantly something there.

When the band coaxed Tayran up to the stage to play a song (Urged on by Marie) stage fright overwhelmed her.

But after a quick song, sung to one set of eyes, she ran off to the stairwell to her apartment and almost died of embarrassment.
When Ryan snuck in the door, he helped calm her down in a way that she couldn't help by enjoy.

He called her that Monday, just as she was setting up the poker game with Marie, Pete, Tammy and Gary. He wanted to see her again, so she invited him and his friend over.
Cal and Ryan got along great with her friends.
Cal asked if she could close down the bar one night to let the cast of the movie come in and have a nice regular night out. Being cooped up the hotel was wearing them all down.

The chemistry between Ryan and Tayrn became stronger and stronger after their many phone conversations, and small visitations. The Fans kept coming to the bar, and the paparazzi wouldn't leave them alone.

At the party with the Cast, Ryan had warned her ahead of time that Suzanne and Francesca would be there.. and it wouldn't be pretty. Those two girls were hardcore movie stars and seeing Ryan with a commoner was beneath them.
Then they confronted Tayrn, they didn't tell her anything she didn't already know about being involved with a movie star, but it still hurt to think about it all.

Ryan was right there and able to help Tayrn through her fears.
But when Ryan has to disappear for a couple of weeks to go to another movie set, can Tayrn look the other way when the paparazzi starts telling lies after lies??

Like I said, Great story - I loved the real romance in it, how she loved him for who he was instead of because he was a star.
Ryan had just as many hang-ups with his life, and insecurities that he struggled with, just as any other person would.
